Photoshop and airbrushing scandals grow less shocking by the day, but we are always super excited to see unretouched photos. It's satisfying to see what celebrities and models really look like! The photo at the left was taken last weekend in St. Barth's during a photo shoot for Glamour's June issue. From left to right we have Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, plus-size model Crystal Renn, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Brooklyn Decker.
Of course makeup artists and celeb hair stylist Ted Gibson were on hand to help beautify the ladies, but this photo has not been airbrushed at all.
Do you think women would feel better about themselves if photos were not retouched, and we were able to see celebrities and models as their true undoctored selves? [WWD][Fashionindie]
*For the record, I just want to clarify that Crystal Renn is a size 12, and that is what the modeling industry--not myself--labels as plus-size.
A plus-size?

Last night Adele ruled the Grammys. One could say the basis of her appeal is how her songs can make the tears flow.
Music undeniably has an impact on our emotions and can even evoke physiological reactions – like goose bumps and tears. Does this impact come from the lyrics or from the notes themselves? Psychologists have been trying to figure this out, and it turns out it’s the music, not the words. So if you’ve cried listening to Adele’s song “Someone Like You,” it’s not your fault. The Grammy-winning song has all of the signatures of emotionally provocative music.
In particular, Adele embellishes the song with unexpected notes called appoggiaturas, or grace notes. Appoggiatura means “a propping up.” Musically speaking, it is a note that is not essential to the harmony or the melody. The appoggiatura contrasts the melody and creates tension, according to musical psychologists. This tension is relieved when the singer returns to the melody and provides emotional relief to the listener. Then the tears start flowing.

All eyes may have been on Madonna at the start of her Super Bowl XLVI halftime show, but when the pop diva launched into her hit "Music," a relative unknown performer named Andy Lewis took center stage.PHOTOS: Stars at Super Bowl XLVI
Balancing on a wire tightrope, Lewis -- who goes by the stage name Sketchy Andy -- performed a series of tricks while dressed in a white toga as Madge looked on.
Different from tightrope walking, the practice of slackening involves a stretchy bit of nylon wire that allows for more of a trampoline effect during tricks.

"I started slacklining in 2004, it was my favorite hobby in 2005, my lifestyle in 2006, and since then it has pretty much absorbed me entirely," Utah's Lewis, 25, writes on the Website FiveTen.com.
Extreme athlete Lewis has reportedly signed on to perform 100 more shows with Madonna, but Sunday wasn't his first time in front of the camera.

NEW YORK (AP) — Adele is nominated for six Grammys, and she'll be on deck to collect anything she wins: The 23-year-old singer is set to perform at the awards show.
Adele had surgery on her vocal cords last year, and the Grammys will be the first time she has performed live in five months, The Recording Academy announced Tuesday.
Her sophomore album, "21," has sold more than 6 million copies in the U.S. It is nominated for album of the year and best pop vocal album. The CD has three singles that have hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart, including "Rolling in the Deep," which is up for record and song of the year.
The Grammys will air live Feb. 12 on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Adele will also perform at the BRIT Awards on Feb. 21.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - White House hopeful Mitt Romney's lead over rival Newt Gingrich has stretched to 15 percentage points in Florida, according to results of a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Monday, just a day before the state's Republican primary.
Support for Romney, a former Massachusetts governor and private equity executive, edged up to 43 percent among likely voters in Florida's January 31 primary, according to the online tracking poll. It had been at 42 percent on Sunday.
But backing for Gingrich, a former speaker of the House of Representatives, slipped to 28 percent, down from 30 percent support a day earlier, 32 percent on Saturday and 33 percent on Friday.
"Romney is holding a good solid position and Gingrich continues to lose support ... which results in a bigger margin for Romney," said Chris Jackson, research director for Ipsos public affairs.
The gap between Romney and Gingrich was 14 percentage points when voters were asked who they would support in a hypothetical head-to-head race among the two contenders for the Republican nomination to oppose President Barack Obama in the November general election.
Romney was at 56 percent to Gingrich's 42 percent among likely voters asked that question. The gap had been 11 points a day earlier.
The well-funded and well-organized Romney had two strong debate performances last week and has consolidated his lead in Florida over Gingrich while hitting his rival with a blizzard of attack advertisements, funded by his campaign and by outside groups supporting his presidential aspirations.
SANTORUM AND PAUL FADE
Two other contenders for the Republican nomination, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and Texas congressman Ron Paul, were well behind the two leaders. Santorum's support was at 12 percent, down from 16 percent in Sunday's results. Paul was backed by 5 percent of survey respondents, down from 6 percent on Sunday.
Paul has not been campaigning in Florida.
"We're starting to see the impact of Santorum suspending his campaigning in Florida," Jackson said.
Santorum said on Sunday he was canceling his campaign events in Florida after his 3-year-old daughter was admitted to a hospital in Philadelphia.
Florida allows early voting at polling stations and by mail, and more than one-third - 35 percent - of respondents to the online poll said they had already cast their ballots. Romney's lead was particularly strong among that group, at 48 percent to 26 percent, 22-point margin.
"Barring some sort of miracle for Newt Gingrich, this one's starting to look a little bit more wrapped up, and we can start thinking about Nevada" Jackson said.
After Florida's primary on Tuesday, Nevada's February 4 caucuses are the next contest in the state-by-state process of choosing a Republican nominee to run against President Barack Obama on November 6.
So far, the contests have been divided among the candidates. Santorum won Iowa's caucuses on January 3, Romney won the New Hampshire primary on January 10 and Gingrich took South Carolina's primary on January 21.
A big victory in Florida, by far the largest of the early-voting states, would be a giant step in Romney's push toward securing the nomination.
Statistical margins of error are not applicable to online surveys, but this poll of 658 likely voters in the Florida primary has a credibility interval of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points for registered voters.
Monday's Reuters/Ipsos survey is the last of four daily tracking polls that were released ahead of Tuesday's Florida primary.

Romney appears to be pulling ahead in Florida while Gingrich appears to be losing ground.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez “showed off” on the dance floor.
Despite the couple performing at two separate New Year’s parties they still managed to snatch some quality time together.
The couple were spotted at Justin’s private party at the Glass House following his performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
The young pair were clearly in the party spirit and boogied at the event until three in the morning.
“He danced with Selena, showing off, picking her up and swinging her around like it was Dancing With the Stars,” a source told E!
Justin also hopped in to the DJ booth to play his new tune with Jaden Smith, appropriately titled Happy New Year.
Justin displayed his musical talents earlier on in the evening. During the New Year’s show he played the piano and sang The Beatles classic Let It Be. Legendary musician Carlos Santana arrived on stage to accompany him on guitar.
Also performing on the night were Lady Gaga, Pitbull, Drake and Cee-Lo Green.
Lady Gaga was selected by Mayor Bloomberg to begin the iconic crystal ball dropping in Times Square. The star wore a sequinned mask and shared a quick kiss with the mayor at the momentous event.
Meanwhile, Selena performed for MTV's NYE in NYC also at Times Square. She sang her hits Love You Like a Love Song and Hit the Lights in a plunging sequinned dress.
“Hope everyone had a great New Year's Eve. Here's to a great 2012 for all!” she Tweeted.
